I am so glad you found your way to the Jamie Coupaud Photography blog! Please enjoy the portrait session sneak peeks, wedding teasers, and the other random tidbits I post.

Just a little bit about me – I am a mom to two boys – a crazy 3 year old and gorgeous 6 month old who amaze me every day. I am a creative person who enjoys learning to look at the world in new ways. For as long as I can remember I’ve loved photography. I can remember shooting tons artsy pictures with disposable cameras as a kid and driving my parents crazy begging to get all the film developed. Then in June 2006 I got my first DSLR – a Nikon D50. It was my absolute dream camera at the time and I had so much fun with it. Since then I have upgraded several times, but I still use Nikon.

But more important than all the equipment in the world is that I love what I do! I feel so blessed to meet new people all the time and get to know them while I am working. One of my favorite feelings in the world is when a client becomes a friend.

Banner of the week :: Denton TX Photographer

Two items of business to discuss….

1. Today is the LAST DAY to enter the baby contest. Hurry before it’s too late!

2. As promised, I changed the picture at the top of my blog. I adore this picture. It is already on my main website, but I think it’s a perfect banner picture.

Here’s the color version, which I love just as much!

By the way, I never strip my exif data on my web images, so feel free to spy on my settings any time of you are so inclined.

the details

1. Fill out an entry form here and attach a photo of your baby. You baby must be under 24 months old (birthday must be on or after May 1, 2008).
Entries may be submitted until 11:59pm on May 16, 2010.

2. On Monday, May 17, I will upload your babies’ photos to my Facebook page. Tell all your friends and family to vote for the photo you submitted by leaving a comment under your photo. You must “like” (aka “become a fan”) my page to leave a comment!
The photo with the most comments wins!

3. Voting will close on Wednesday, May 19, at 11:59pm and the winner will be announced on May 20th.

1. Submissions may not be professional photographs
2. Only one vote per person
3. Free session must take place within 50 miles of Denton, TX or the winner must be willing to travel here
4. Babies’ birthdates must be on or after May 1, 2008 to be eligible. Pregnant mothers may enter a belly picture.
5. Winning session must take place before 12/31/2010
6. $25 gift card/free session cannot be combined with any other offer
7. Winning session may include up to 4 family members – there will be an additional fee for more
8. Only one submission per family

A little change is a good thing! :: Denton Texas Photographer

I refreshed the look of the blog just a little bit last night. It feels good! You’ll notice the banner at the top doesn’t have rotating images anymore. I am planning to feature a different picture on there every week! I am excited.

The picture up there right now is from Jen and Chad’s wedding last August. I will always love this picture!

It was taken in downtown Fort Worth after Jen and Chad’s ceremony. We took this shot in a hurry because it was quickly getting dark outside! It wasn’t an easy shot, but it was totally worth all the trouble.
